Hi, I'm Kristy!
I see beauty in the weathered and the worn. From washed-out shells, mossy branches, peeling paint, to frayed edges, these textures represent the layers of a story told over time, a tribute to the wisdom found in patience and the elegance of decay.
At the heart of my work is an ongoing exploration of the balance of destruction and growth. Through anguish grows joy and gratitude, through mistakes grows confidence and resilience. There is beauty in the treasures of knowledge we gain from life's imperfect moments. My process is a playful adventure of creating and distressing layers of texture.
When you collect my art, you are embracing a shared journey toward authenticity and celebrating the wonder and growth found in imperfect stories.
How my art journey began.
As a child, I loved drawing and creating characters from found objects. My creativity led me to a career in graphic design. When my kids were young, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. We spent our days playing and reading stories (which often featured animals), which inspired me to begin illustrating and creating quirky characters of my own. My earliest collection celebrated the
joy of childhood wonder through storybook characters.
I made them into prints and stationery and began selling at local handmade markets and on Etsy. Soon after, I started making animals with air-dry clay.
After years of creating cute animals, I felt the pull to explore new ways of creating. You can still shop for available prints, stickers, and sculptures from my early collections in person at:

You can also still shop some of that collection online. My products are printed using a 3rd party printer and shipped directly to you:
