Kristy Jarvis uses art to create a connection with nature and finds calm in the process of creating imperfect layers with a touch of whimsy. She is fascinated by the weathered and worn. From washed-out shells, mossy branches, peeling paint, and frayed edges, these textures represent the layers of a story told over time, a tribute to the wisdom found in patience and the elegance of decay and growth.

When you collect her art, you are celebrating a shared connection with the whimsy of the world around us.

How my art journey began.

As a child, I loved drawing and creating characters from found objects. My creativity led me to a career in graphic design. When my kids were young, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. We spent our days playing and reading stories (which often featured animals), which inspired me to begin illustrating and creating quirky characters of my own. My earliest collection celebrated the joy of childhood wonder through storybook characters.

I made them into prints and stationery and began selling at local handmade markets and on Etsy. Soon after, I started making animals with clay.

After years of creating cute animals, I felt the pull to explore new ways of creating. You can still shop for available prints, stickers, and sculptures from my early collections in person at:

The Mosaic Market

You can also still shop some of that collection online. My products are printed using a 3rd party printer and shipped directly to you:
